A Word from Our President

Hey all,
I hope every one in the Midwest is doing great. The weather here can be challenging and a little difficult at times but it is now winter and time to start thinking who you are going to breed your cows to next spring. We have the Midwest Semen auction that Mike Foshee is taking care of.
I know that the Midwest breeders are looking forward to having the 2012  National show in conjuction with the World Beef Expo, which will be the last weekend in September. We are hoping for a great turnout.
Remember to send in your dues for 2012 for the National and Midwest Pinzgauer Associations. Do not forget to register your calves from 2011.
If there is anything that you would like to see in the Midwest newsletter please let myself or Diana know and we will  get it in there. We are trying to get some articles for nutrition, equity, showing and calving.

A Word from Our Junior Rep.

Hello everyone,
My name is Stephanie Page. I am representing our juniors. First of all I would like to thank everyone who helped me show my cattle at the junior show in Seymour. The Midwest is a great group of people who love to help each other no matter what. The shows are not just about winning but more as a way to make us all become a closer family then we already are. At our last show we had 13 head of cattle with 5 juniors showing. It was alot of hard work but it was worth it in the end. We also had one member; Danielle Woerner, who brought a baby calf to the show. She had to take care of it and feed it all weekend. This just shows how hard we work to get to the shows and be there for one another. Thank you again to everyone.

Stephanie
